George M. Loveland Jr. Age 80, passed away suddenly of a massive heart attack on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Chemung County Nursing Facility.He was born on April 24, 1933 the son of the late George M. & Margaret (McGee) Loveland, Sr. in Staten Island, NY.George was predeceased by his parents, daughter, Patricia Manwaring and all his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, J. Marlene (Bradley) Loveland;children, Michael, Kathleen and Kevin; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Virginia Loveland, Carole (Paul) Taladay (Lance Morgan); brother-in-law, Ed Collins; along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.George was a Veteran of the US Navy and proudly served his country. For many years he worked for National Homes. Then he owned and operated his own plumbing and heating business 35 years. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Mary's Church, 224 Franklin Street, Elmira, NY on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery, Elmira, where the Chemung County Veterans Honor Squad will accord Mr. Loveland Military Honors. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY.
