age 92 of Gaines Street, Elmira, New York passed away Friday December 17, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born April 21, 1918 in Mildred, PA the son of the late Anthony and Columbia Comeletti Ottaviani.He is predeceased by his loving wife of 52 yearsAnn Donovan Ottaviani, a daughter, Antoinette (Toni) Clearwater, and grandsons Christopher Ottaviani and Joseph Clearwater, daughter-in-law Myra Ottaviani. He was also predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children, George Ottaviani of Endwell, NY, Donald (Doreen)of Leesport, PA, Geno (Renee Painter) of Wynetta Lake and Plant City, FL, Michelle (Mark) D'Angelo of Elmira, Pat (Mike) Frame of Pine City, NY, and son in-law, Lewis Clearwater of Elmira; 16 grandchildren, Anne Templeton, Laura St. Arnold, Nathan Ottaviani, Jessica Clearwater, Peter Clearwater, Anthony Clearwater, Patrick Clearwater, Geoffrey Ottaviani, Nicholas Ottaviani, Georganna D'Angelo, Kelly D'Angelo, Mark D'Angelo, Jordan D'Angelo, Jillian Ray,Andrea Palmer, and Michael Frame; 11 great grandchildren with another expected in March. Also sister, Madeline Rogers. Georganna and Kelly lived with George for several years.George was a United States Army Veteran having proudly served in World War II and having had a personal connection with 5 Star General Douglas MacArthur. He retired from Facet Enterprise and was fortunate enough to enjoy 30 years of retirement. George was a true family man, he coached youth baseball for many years and was also a Boy Scout leader. He took great pleasure in watching his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren's Sporting events. He was an avid NY Mets baseball fan. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport on Tuesday December 21, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Funeral and Committal Service there Tuesday evening at 8:00 PM, Deacon George Welch will officiate. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Woodlawn National Cemetery. Those wishing to may make memorials to the St. Joseph's Foundation, in George's memory, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
