George E. Robinson

Age 87, of Flannery Apartments, Elmira passed away at the Chemung County Nursing Facility on Monday, December 26, 2005.He was born August 23, 1918 in Kearny, NJ the son of the late George and Adele (Martin) Robinson.He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 66 years, Harriette E. Robinson.George is survived by daughters, Barbara R. Stevens of Elmira, Linda A. (Robert) Burns of Farmington, NY; son, David P. (Kathy) Robinson of Savona, NY; along with 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; niece, Janet Brusso (James Behrens) of Macedon, NY; family friend, Sandra K. Oliver of Elmira.George retired from Moore Business Forms, Inc., Buffalo, NY.He and his wife co-owned and operated H.R. Ceramics while living on Grand Island, NY.He was a US Army veteran of WWII; a member of the Masonic Union-Cooley Lodge #0095; member and past patron of Harmony Loyal Chapter #265 OES; and member of American Legion Post #1, Albany, NY.Many thanks to the 6th floor staff, Chemung County Nursing Facility for their wonderful care and kindness.Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Friday, December 30, 2005 from 2 ? 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM with funeral services to follow.
