Age 95, of West Water Street Elmira, NY passed away peacefully Thursday, January 27, 2005 at her home with her family by her side. She was born April 5, 1909 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late Clyde E. and Sara (Mathews) Ungard. Her loving husband, Ralph Frank Enyedy, sisters, Olive Bauman, Ernestine Watson and step-father William Lewis predeceased Gladys. She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Eleanor Enyedy II of Landenberg, PA; Judy and Ronald Knight of Rochester, NY; much-loved grandchildren, Michael Enyedy III, Mark (Nancy) Enyedy, Dana (Dennis) Sargent, Jackie (Eddie) Leo, Richard (Jill) Petrucelli; David (Susan) Knight, Denise (Brad) Buchanan; 12 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, William and Carrie Lewis of Elmira, NY; sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Bob Easton also of Elmira, NY; along with several nieces and nephews. Gladys was a faithful member of the Trinity Episcopal Church and volunteered at the Thrift shop associated with the church as well. She also volunteered at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center for many years. Gladys was also a member of the Webb Mills Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY on Saturday, January 29, 2005 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral Services honoring Gladys?s life will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2005 in the Trinity Episcopal Church 304 North Main Street Elmira, NY 14901 with Reverend William Lutz celebrating the services at 1:00 PM. Memorial Donations may be directed to the Trinity Episcopal Church or to Southern Tier Hospice 11751 East Corning Road Corning, NY 14830 in her memory. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family in the Woodlawn Cemetery. A ?Candle of Remembrance? may be left for her family in obituaries at www.olthof.com
