Glenn F. Messenger

Age 77 Of Elmira, NY passed away Thursday September 14, 2006 at Elcor Health Services.Son of the late Glen and Esther Messenger, and also predeceased by his daughter, Debra (Messenger) Stevens. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Elizabeth (Betty) Messenger; son, David (Mary) Messenger of Winfield, PA; daughter, Janis (Mark) Kellogg of Henrietta, NY; brother, William Messenger of Dundee, NY; sisters, Mary Louise Miller of FL, and Shirley (Charles) Aldrich of Caton, NY; son-in-law, Donald Stevens; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.Glenn was a truck driver for his father; he then worked for many years at Artistic Greeting Card Company and was employed by Howell Packaging Company for more than 23 years. He was an avid race car fan and also enjoyed bowling.Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. on Sunday, September 17, 2006 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM with Funeral Service to be held Monday at 11:00 AM in the First Baptist Church of Elmira, 121 W. Church St. The Reverend Dennis Christianson will officiate, followed by graveside service in Maple Grove Cemetery, Horseheads, NY.
