Gordon “Gordy” BlanchardAge 86, of Watkins Glen, NY went to be with the Lord on Tuesday January 3, 2012.He was a Navy Veteran of WW II; member of the VFW. . He loved racing as a fan and was a driver in the 50s and 60s. Loved fishing and also was a mechanic who could fix or build just about anything. He is survived by, brothers; Albert (JoAnn) Blanchard, and Robert (Mary Jane) Blanchard; numerious loving nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Ethel Warren and her family. Also many close friends.He was predeceased by wife, Catherine Poulas Blanchard; sisters and brothers in-law, Shirley (Ed) Drake, Alma (Tony) Berbary; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond (Erma) Blanchard. brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Saturday January 14, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PMwith Memorial Service with Full Military Honors, following at 3:00 PM.
