H. LaVerne (Kip) KipferfAge 81 of Lawrenceville, PA went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 17, 2013.LaVerne was born in Mosherville, PA on August 18, 1931 a son of the late Henry and Nina Kipferl.He was pre-deceased by his brother Howard Kipferl.LaVerne served our country in the US Army during the Korean War.He retired from Kennedy Valve in Elmira, NY.He is a member of the Jackson Summit Baptist Church, the Tioga American Legion of Tioga, PA, and NRA.He enjoyed the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, playing cards, and spending time visiting with friends and family.He is survived by his wife Christiana A. (Burke) Kipferl; children:Kayla (David) Peterson, Lawrenceville PA, Kevin (Brenda) Kipferl, Millerton PA; Keith Kipferl, Elmira NY; Kerry (Brenda) Kipferl, Lawrenceville, PA; Kory (Carole) Kipferl, Aurora, CO; and Kelly (Michelle) Kipferl, Berryville, VA; brother: Michael J. Kipferl, Tioga PA; sisters:Barbara June Smith, Corning, NY and Joyce Kipferl, Merrimack, NH, sister-in-law:Ella Kipferl, Pine City NY, 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great - great grandchild;several nephews and nieces. Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday, April 20th, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:30 pm at the Olthof Funeral Home Inc, 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira NY.Funeral services will take place directly following the calling hours at 8:30 pm with Pastor Benjamin Lanning officiating.Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family with military honors accorded.
