Harold R. Clark

Harold R. Clark, loving father and grandfather, was born August 14, 1926 in Corning, NY the son of the late Stanley and Iona (Pierson) Clark. Harold went home to be with his Lord on Monday, May 8, 2006 peacefully at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira. On July 3, 1947 he married Mattie A. (Kemp) Clark, prior to her death June 10, 2004 they had celebrated 56 wonderful years of life and love together. He is survived by his loving children, daughters and son-in-laws, Linda and Dwight McCarrick of Corning, NY; Brenda and Raymond Schiefen of Horseheads, NY; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Charlene Clark of Addison, NY; beloved grandchildren, Kelly (Jeff) Goltry, Dwight McCarrick, Dana McCarrick, Harold (Tricia) Schiefen, Tracy (Bryce) Page, Amy Webster and Harold (Beth) Clark; much-loved great grandchildren, Nicholas Goltry, McKenna Goltry, Alyssa Schiefen, Jacob Walrath, Karleigh Webster, Kadyn Webster andSkyler Page, Lyla Clark; brother, Alger Clark of West Elmira, NY; along with several nieces and nephews. Harold was a Veteran of the US Navy and proudly served his country. He retired from Ingersoll ? Dresser Rand after 42 years of dedicated service as a welder/mechanic. Mr. Clark greatly enjoyed camping and was an avid fisherman. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to honor Harold?s life on Sunday, May 21, 2006 at 1:00 PM in the Caton united Methodist Church, Hendy Hollow Road, Caton, NY 14830. The Reverend Beth Bouwens will celebrate Harold?s services. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, (next to the Church) where the Chemung County Veteran?s Honor Squad will accord Mr. Clark Military Honors. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the Caton United Methodist Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY 14904.
