Harold E. Walburn

Was born January 13, 1931 in Canton, PA the son of the late Gerald and Bessie (Bolt) Walburn, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2006 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family at the age 75. His first wife, Rita Walburn August 7, 1989, also predeceased him. Harold is survived by his beloved wife, Anne (McDonald) Walburn; daughters and son-in-laws, Sharon and Donnie Saar of Trout Run, PA; Sandy and Art Rose of Elmira, NY; sons and daughter-in-laws, Dan and Linda Walburn of Pine City, NY; Dave Walburn and companion Kelly Craven of Watkins Glen, NY; step-children, Richard (Leslie) McDonald of Campbell, NY; Tracy (Gary) Galpin of Elmira, NY; 8 grandchildren, Bill & Joe Lewis; Jason & Nathan Walburn; Justin & Jacob Rose; Courtney & Kurt Walburn; 5 great grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great grandson; sisters and brother-in-laws, Elsie and Herb Punchard of Elmira, NY; Shirley and Art Cady also of Elmira, NY; along with several nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Harold retired from Hardinge Inc. after 41 years of dedicated service as an engineer. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral Services honoring Harolds life will be held there on Thursday at 11:00 AM. The Reverend Donald Rockwell will celebrate the services. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family in the Bradford County Memorial Park Luthers Mills, PA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the Southern Tier Hospice 11751 East Corning Road Corning, NY 14830.
