Age 82 of Elmira, NY passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2005 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center.She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joseph L. Hanley; daughter, JoAnn Hanley; son, Larry (Mimi) Hanley; all of Elmira, NY, brothers, William (Madalyn) Fitzpatrick of Elmira, Joey (Ruth) Fitzpatrick of Vero Beach, FL; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Cathie Mayer.Babs did volunteer work for many organizations, she was a communicant of St. Peter & Paul?s Church, she was an avid bowler and last of the Rossi Friday Nighter?sBowling League. Babs was a member of the Bowling Hall of Fame, the American Legionof Horseheads, NY, member of theElmira Eagles #941, B.P.O.E. Elks #62 of the Doe?s and Past President.She was a devoted wife and mother, known to many of her fellow bowlers as mom.Family and friends are invited to call Sunday, April 17, 2005 at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave, Elmira from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, April 18, 2005 at St. Peter & Paul?s Church, 161 High St., Elmira at 10:00 am with Reverend Walter Wainwright celebrating. Followed by interment in St. Peter & Paul?s Cemetery, Elmira. A special thank you to the Arnot Ogden Medical Center 3rd Floor staff for their loving and kind care, while Babs was with them.
