Harry F. Clark

Of Pine City, NYWas born March 2, 1925 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Arthur D. and Frances (Schoonover) Clark passed away peacefully on Monday, August 29, 2011 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center at the age of 86. His sisters, Mina and Mary Lee also preceded Harry in death. On September 22, 1946, in Elmira, at the Lake Street Presbyterian Church, Harry was united in Holy Matrimony to Mildred L. (Burritt). They have enjoyed 64 wonderful years of life and love together. His survivors include: sons, Larry Clark and Mark (Camille) Clark; grandchildren, Cody Clark; Kyle (Vanessa) Clark and Sonya Clark; siblings, David S. Clark, Leslie W. Clark, Myrtle Keithline, Mildred (Richard) Folmer, Fritz (Mary Alice) Clark and Theodore (Laurianne) Clark; along with several nieces and nephews. Harry enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served his country during WW II in the Pacific. He was one of three generations who worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad, retiring as a Block Operator for the railroad. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira,/Southport, NY on Friday, September 2, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral services honoring his life will follow the visitation at 7 PM. The Reverend Horrace Stoddard will officiate. The Chemung County Honor Squad will accord Military Honors to Mr. Clark following the service. He will be laid to rest in the Woodlawn Cemetery on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Family and friends will be meeting at the Walnut Street gate then proceeding to the Clark burial site for Committal Prayers. Memorial donations may be directed to the Bath VA Medical Center or the Canandaigua VA Hospital. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
