Harry "Butch" D. Stearns

Was born December 31, 1959 in Sayre, PA the son of Harry D. and Ruby (South) Stearns Sr. passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Friday, June 28, 2013 at the age of 53. His beloved uncle, Don Hicks preceded him in death. He is survived his loving parents, Harry and Ruby; beloved daughters, Mary Stearns and her daughter, Emma Stearns; Sara (Davey) Stearns and her children, Ryan and Hannah; siblings, John Stearns, Lee (Linda) Stearns, Debbie (Larry) VanDyke, Pat (Jim) Lambert, Jennifer Stearns (Bruce); along with long time friend, Tom Morris and several nieces and nephews. Butch enjoyed being a paper carrier and loved driving. He will be remembered as always being a hard worker. Family and friends will gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Funeral services honoring his life will follow the visitation at 6 PM. In lieu of flowers the family request and donations be made directly to them to defray expenses.
