Harry Roger "Butch" HornbrookWas born December 28, 1939 in Ithaca, NY the son of the late Howard William and Lydia Pearl (Swansbourgh) Hornbrook. He went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving and caring family. His siblings: Donald Stewart Hornbrook, Raymond Hornbrook, Shirley Agnes Hornbrook and Beverly Jane Kraft preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Elma (Blend); much loved children: Vicky (Kevin) Beck, Roger Hornbrook, Toby Spearen and Deanna (Jeff) White; adored grandchildren: Valorie, Lydia, Shelby, Kayla, Nolan, Abigail, Jeffery (Brooke), Amber, Taylor, Aaron and Eddie; great grandson, Anthony; devoted brother: Robert Lewis (Cindy) Hornbrook; along with several nieces and nephews. Butch owned and operated H & M Construction for over 40 years. He was an avid New York Yankees fan. He was a regular at Anne's every morning enjoying his coffee, eggs and toast with no butter. He will be deeply missed but not forgotten. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral services honoring his life will follow the visitation at 7 PM. His brother Robert will officiate the service celebrating Butch's life. He will be laid to rest in the Highland Cemetery Elkland, PA on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 2:00 PM where his brother will also offer the committal service.
