Hazel A. Wild

September 1, 1920 — April 4, 2010

Of Horseheads, NY. Hazel was born September 1, 1920 in Sullivanville, NY the daughter of the late Harry and Mildred (VanHouten) Weaver. She passed away peacefully after a brief illness on April 4, 2010 at Elcor Health Service's, at the age of 89. Her husband of 65 years, Harry Wild predeceased her on July 12, 2007. Hazel is survived by her beloved children and their spouses, H. Terry and Suzanne Wild of Magalia, CA; Linda and Keith Osgood of Erin, NY; James and Sue Wild of San Ramon, CA; Thomas and Colleen Wild of Pahrump, NV; Robert and Susan Wild of Redding, CA; Jeanne and Daniel McGarvey of Old Orchard Beach, ME; Richard and Suzanne Wild of Rochester, NY; Patricia and Richard Olson of Horseheads, NY; adored grandchildren, Timothy, Kristopher, Cindy, Bryan, James, Scott, Melanie, Geoffrey, David, Ryan, Daniel, Ian, Corey, Graham, Richard and Kerry; along with 11 much-loved great grandchildren, four nieces and nephews; also lifelong friend Frances Osteen.Hazel was a 1938 graduate from Southside High School and was a lifelong advocate for her children through her years of service with the PTA. She worked as a choir director at Riverside Methodist Church and was a soprano soloist at various events throughout the community. Hazel retired from American LaFrance after many years of dedicated service. Family and friends are invited to drink a toast to her life on September 1, 2010 when she would have been 90 years old. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family in Maple Grove Cemetery, Horseheads, NY.
