Helen M. Fitzpatrick

Was born June 3, 1918 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late Edmond and Beatrice (Hogaboon) Miller, went home to be with her Lord, peacefully on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at St. Josephs Hospital at the age of 89. Helen married Theodore J. FitzPatrick in 1936; prior to his death September 3, 1987 they celebrated 51 wonderful years of life and love together. Her son, Edward M. FitzPatrick; brother, Ralph Miller; sister, Cora Smith also predeceased her. She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, L. King and Teresa FitzPatrick of Big Flats, NY; beloved grandchildren, Edward J. FitzPatrick of Canandaigua, NY; Terri FitzPatrick, Thomas G. FitzPatrick both of Big Flats, NY; adored great grandson, Christopher Weaver; sister, Ruth (Charles) Mitchell of Texas; along with several nieces and nephews. Helen was a devoted and faithful 77-year member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was an accomplished cook, an avid gardener and enjoyed playing cards. She loved and treasured her family and was very proud of her home. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY 14904 on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. Funeral services honoring her life will follow the visitation. (2:00 PM) The Reverend Susan Husted will celebrate her service. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her beloved Theodore. Memorial donations may be directed to St. Josephs Hospital SNF 5th Floor 555 East Market Street Elmira, NY 14902 in her memory.
