Helen L. Hammond

Age 77, of Laurel Street, Elmira, NY, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph?s Hospital on Monday, June 20, 2005. She was born December 10, 1927 in Elmira, the daughter of the late Anthony and Eleanor (Loveless) Bianculli. Her daughter, Barbara Jean Hammond in 1957 and her uncle, Frank Bianculli, predeceased her. On February 10, 1946, Helen married Frank C. Hammond. They have celebrated 59 wonderful years of life and love together. She is survived by her beloved Frank; loving children, Frank ?Bill? (Coleen) Hammond of Elmira, NY; Susan Hammond of Horseheads, NY; Robert J. (Cathy) Hammond of Elmira, NY; brother, James (Marilyn) Bianculli of Chattanooga, TN; sister-in-law, Geraldine Hammond of Elmira, NY; aunt, Ruth Bianculli Terwilliger of Elmira, NY; along with 8 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews.Helen retired from the Elmira City School District in 1988 after 25 years of faithful and dedicated service. She was a charter member of the Southport Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.Funeral services honoring Helen?s life will be held at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Thursday, June 23, 2005 at 4:00 PM, with Deacon Bob Stowell celebrating her service. Following the services, the family will receive friends until 7:00 PM.
