Age 81, of Elmira, NY, passed away on Friday, June 25, 2004 at St. Joseph?s Hospital.Helen was born on February 11, 1923 in Elmira, NY, the daughter of the late John and Emila D. Sypniewski. She married her husband, John J. Kaul Jr., on May 9, 1942. Helen was a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Elmira Heights and a member of the Rosary & Alter Society. She loved and cherished her family. Along with her parents, Helen was predeceased by her husband, John J. Kaul in 1998, son James R. Kaul in 1946, grandson David Kaul, brother Samuel Sipka, sisters Eleanor Wands, Irene Osman and Stella Bartlett. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Nancy Kaul of Evans Mills, NY, James and Patricia Kaul of Elmira Heights, NY, daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Paul Stanton of St. Cloud, FL, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margaret (Kaul) and Kenneth Bergh of Elmira, NY, brothers and sister-in-law, Edward Sipka of Sun Lakes, AZ and Richard & Ann Sipka of Horseheads, NY, sisters, Agatha Kochin of Sayre, PA, Sophie Tarntino of Elmira, NY and Theresa Spallone of Horseheads, NY, grandchildren, Donald Kaul of Lyons, NY, Janice (Eric) Smith of Denver, CO, Robin Lofts of Lakewood, CO, Patrick Ely and Jason Stanton both of St. Cloud, FL, William (Lynn) Ely of Treasure Island, FL, great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Haley and Jerry Lofts of Lakewood, CO, Gracelyn and Shedlyn Ely of Treasure Island, FL; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
