Helen K. Witherill

Age 81, of Parkside Drive Elmira, NY passed away Saturday, May 31, 2003 peacefully at her home. She was born November 13, 1921 in Elmira Heights, NY the daughter of the late Samuel and Anna (Sekella) Kowulich. Helen was predeceased in death by her loving husband of 53 years John M. Witherill October 12, 2000. 7 brothers and 1 sister also preceded her in death. Helen is survived by her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Kenneth Bump of Elmira Heights, NY; niece, Shirley (Dave) Baxter of Horseheads, NY; nephew, Joseph (Jackie) Sliwa of Horseheads, NY; special friend and neighbor, Rob Taft of Elmira, NY; along with several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Helen was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Elmira. She loved to travel and shop especially at Wal-Mart. She enjoyed wildlife particularly birds and animals. Above all she loved her clocks. Family and friends are invited to call Friday, June 6, 2003 from 10 to 11:30 AM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church 1009 Maple Ave. Elmira. The Reverend Cathy Stevenson will officiate. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery Horseheads, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the Westminster Presbyterian Church 10009 Maple Ave. Elmira, NY 14904 in Helen?s memory.
