Henry L. Garrison

Age 74 of Millerton, PA passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at St. Joseph?s Hospital, Elmira.Born in Lowman, NY the son of the late Raymond and Gertrude (Friends) Garrison. The loving husband of Barbara Stone Garrison, whom he married October 26, 1957 and recently celebrated their 46th year of marriage. He was the very proud and caring father of his children; Jeffrey (Betty) Garrison of Millerton, Brian Garrison at home, Sheila Gee of Tioga, Joy (Mike) Bliler of Horseheads, NY. Henry was extremely proud of his grandchildren; Belinda Garrison (Jeffrey Terrill), Christopher and Kimberly Gee, Ryan and Courtney Bliler, and his two special ?Greats? Brianna and Zachary Terrill. Also survived by step-sister, June Earle of Troy, PA, Vera (Harold) Crawford of Mansfield, PA, Loretta (Ed) Korzon of CT, step-brother, William (Karen) Aumick of Williamsport, PA, numerous nieces, nephews, many friends and not to be forgotten, former son-in-law Carman Gee.Henry graduated with the last class of Millerton High School, a class of 8 members. He was a United States Army Veteran having served in the Korean War. Henry retired in 1995 from Dalrymple Gravel & Contracting Company after 42 years of service. He was a lifetime and long standingmember of Big Elm Volunteer Fire Department, joining in 1969.Family and friend are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, on Saturday, November 15, 2003 from 1:00 to 3:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM with Funeral and Committal Service there Saturday evening at 8:00 PM. The Reverend Douglas Hodge officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Jobs Corners Cemetery. The family will provide their own flowers and those wishing may make memorials to the Big Elm Vounteer Fire Dept, PO Box 249, Millerton, PA 16936.
