Age 83 of Millerton, PA passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2003 at the Broad Acres Nursing Facility in Wellsboro, PA. He was born June 4, 1919 in Jackson, PA the son of the late James and Eldora (Crum) Doty. He is survived by his loving wife, Madeline E. Doty; daughter and son-in-law, Anita J. and Robert Wells of Piscataway, NJ; granddaughter, Laurel A. Wells; sister, Helen N. MacDowall of Elmira, NY along with several nieces and nephews. Howard retired as a machinist from Remington Rand after many years of dedicated service. He was a Veteran of the US Army proudly serving his country from 1942- 1946. He was a member of the V.F.W. post in Blossburg, PA, member of the NRA and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY on Saturday, February 8, 2003 from 7 to 9 PM. Interment will take place privately in the Jobs Corners Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorial Donations may be directed to the V.F.W.
