Ilba June Wood

Ilba June Wood , 74, of Horseheads, New York went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 2, 2006. Born on May 4, 1932, in Elmira, NY, she was the daughter of the late Manley and Leda( Burley) Garrison. She is survived by her husband Carl; sons, Dan( Nancy ) Brackley of Painted Post andDoug ( Brenda ) Brackley of Horseheads; four grandchildren, Chase, Alyssa, Kristen and Hannah; sisters, Marie ( Freeman) Ferris of Lawrenceville, PA and Lois Lauper of Pine City; sister-in-law, Bonnie Garrison of Lawrenceville, PA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Loren and Janice Wood of Horseheads; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; sons, Richard and David; brother, Donald; fathers-in-law and mothers-in-law, Leonard and Dorothy Brackley, Walter and Mabel Wood; sisters-in-law, Shirley Skalko and Barbara Smith and brother-in-law, Bob Young. Ilba June graduated from Williamson High School, Tioga, PA in 1950. She was employed at Remington Rand, Elmira, was the co-owner of Brackleys Market in Lawrenceville, and Tioga, PA and she retired from Corning Building Company, Corning, NY. She was a member of Order the Eastern Star O. E. S., Calvary United Methodist Church, Lawrenceville, PA and the Audubon Society of NY. Family and friends may call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira on Tuesday, September 5, from 1-3 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service honoring Ilba Junes life will be held on Wednesday, September 6 at 11 AM at the Calvary United Methodist Church, 6 Franklin St., Lawrenceville, PA. Burial will be in Lawrenceville Cemetery, Lawrenceville, PA.Memorial donations in Ilba Junes memory can be made to the Falck Cancer Center, Elmira, Southern Tier Hospice or the Calvary United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville, PA.
