Irene Jones

Was born August 28, 1926 in Yorkshire, England, and passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 17, 2009 at the age of 82. She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Stanley Jones. She is survived by her beloved sisters, Evelyn Henshaw of Ulla Dulla, Australia; Elizabeth (Graham) Schofield of Cheshire, England; sister-in-law, Pauline Foder of England; several nieces and nephews; special and loving friends, Mary Elizabeth Culshaw and family of Elmira, NY; Wally and Gretchen Hunt and family of Webb Mills, NY; Gerry and Andrew Romano and family of Southport, NY; neighbor, Robert and Maryann Eckman of Lawrenceville, PA. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira/Southport, NY on Saturday, May 23, 2009 from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. A Memorial Service honoring Irene's life will follow the visitation at 6 PM. Reverend Betty Bement will celebrate her life.
