Irene Passmore

Formerly of Baty Street , Elmira, NY, born July 17, 1917 in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of the late Anthony and Katerina (Misichko) Zahorian, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at the Bradford County Manor in Troy, PA at the age of 88. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Ronald Passmore; brothers, Anthony Jr.; Peter; and Stephen Zahorian; sisters, Mary Yakushow; Anna Schadael; Helen O?Neill; Catherine Schoch; and Martha Dunbar; dear friend, Dee Field. She is survived by her sisters, Julia Zahorian (Raymond) Jones of Pine City, NY; Veronica Zahorian (Reed) Gernert of Elmira, NY; along with many extended family members, including her nephew, Gary Dunbar of Elmira, NY.Special people that touched both Irene and Ronald were Donna Congram and her family, Stacy and Jason; Robert Frawley and family; and Todd and Stacy Sherwood. Irene had a great love for children and enjoyed cooking.A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Thursday, March 2, 2006 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service honoring her life at the conclusion of the visitation (7 PM). Interment will take place at the convenience of the family in Woodlawn Cemetery where Irene and Ronald will both be laid to rest.
