Of Elmira, NY went to be with her Lord Friday, December 4th, 2009. "Billie" was born to Floyd and Cleda (Gregory) Walling September 13, 1915 in East Corning NY. She was predeceased by husbands Harold Carpenter (1958) and Arthur Bauer (2000). She is survived by children Sharon Wheeler FL and Gerald (Dovie) Carpenter AZ. Step-children, the late Arlene (Carl) Mustico and Douglas (Barbara) Bauer. Grandchildren Becki (Thomas) Iamaio, FL, Bonnie (Wayne) MacBeth, Laurie (Peter) Johnson, MA, Bethany (Christian) Durys, FL, Karen Carpenter-Palumbo, Christine (William) Stewart, CHINA, Colleen Carpenter, Connie Carpenter, NJ, Gerald Carpenter, Nicole (Aric) Howland, and the late Lanette Price, FL. Also predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. She was a homemaker and later in life she became the second school crossing guard appointed (1954) in Elmira. "Billie" was a child and dog lover. Family and friends will be received at Olthof' Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Monday December 7, 2009 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, with Funeral Services there Monday at 3:00 PM.
