Jacob E. Jones

Age 85 of Millerton, PA died Wednesday, March 31st, 2010in Mt. Dora, Florida. He was born December 26th, 1924 in Westmoreland County, PA. Jacob was the son of the late Clyde O. and Effie G. Jones. He retired from ABF Trucking Company as a driver. Throughout his life his hobby was his woodworking shop where he crafted many wooden items and furniture for his family and friends. His Masonic affiliation was Masonic Lodge #373 of Tioga, PA and the Coudersport Consistory. He is survived by wife Geraldine W. Jones of Millerton, PA his children Linda (William) Pipp of Carlisle, PA, Diane (Stanley) Marsh of Charlotte, NC and Donna (Mark) Crist of Morris, PA. In addition he is survived by his step children: Janet (Rick) Hulick of Egg Harbor, NJ, Jeri (Rick) Tramontana, West Trenton, NJ, John Edwards of Philadelphia. 5 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his first wife Marion Violet (Holecek) Jones, brother Alvin Jones and two sisters Melva Peterson and Violet Weaver. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Sunday, April 11th, 2010 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM. Funeral and committal services will be held there at the conclusion of the calling hours at 2:00PM. Reverend Anne Mowery will officiate. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family in the Jackson Center Cemetery, Millerton, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to Olthof Funeral Home, Inc.
