Dandrea, James B. age 90, of Elmira, NY passed away Sunday, January 10th, 2016 at Elcor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Horseheads. Jim was born in Elmira, February 13th, 1925, the son of the late Cosimo and Mary (Buonelli) Dandrea. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Geraldine Cook Dandrea and his loving daughter: Ruth Ann Dandrea of Holland Patent, NY; two grandchildren: Gretchen Blynt (Andrew Morris) of Andes, NY, Michael Blynt (Jenna Rotach) of Dryden, NY and one great granddaughter: Zora Morris, along with several nieces and nephews. Jim worked as a truck driver for Taynton’s Motor Freight for more than thirty years. He was a long time communicant of St. Mary’s Church.He served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II. Jim loved to fish, was an avid bowler who was always ready for a good game of cards.Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Tuesday, January 12th, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Prayer services will be held Wednesday morning at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church (Southside) at 10:00 AM. Graveside committal prayers will be shared at St. Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Elmira. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials in James B.
