Digby, James J.Mechanical Engineer for Bendix Corp. Son of the late James B. and Katherine McGivern Digby died July 5, 2001 peacefully at his home. He was predeceased by his wife, Pearl Sayers Digby. He is survived by his sons Geoffrey W. and Patricia Sayers of Elmira, NY, Jonathan G. and TinaSayers ,grandchildren, Gregory Sayers ,: Christopher Sayers , Monika Sayers ,: Rebecca Sayers , Thomas Sayers , Matthew Sayers , Pamela Rogers , Mary Celestano ,and 3 great-grandchildren. Jimmy was a life-long resident of Elmira and graduate of Cornell University.He was a mechanical engineer for Eclipse/Bendix Corp., where he developed numerous patents involving starter drives and rocket ignition systems.
