James E. Gaughan

Was born September 7, 1940 in Shamokin, PA the son of the late Paul and Edna Gaughan passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center at the age of 72. His wife, Barbara A. Gaughan preceded him in death on July 21, 2002. His beloved sisters, Evelyn, Elaine, Betty Diane and Leona also predeceased him. He is survived by his brother, Paul (Dorothy) Gaughan; sons, David (Jill Dey) Gaughan and Eric (Peg) Gaughan; step children, Susan Fimonetta, John, David and Larry Reynolds. James retired from the Seneca Army Depot in Romulus, NY. He was a Veteran of the US Navy and proudly served his country. He loved the outdoors and especially camping. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Woodlawn National Cemetery 1826 Davis Street Elmira on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 1:00 PM for Military Honors that will be accorded to Mr. Gaughan by the Chemung County Veteran Honor Squad.
