James A. Money Sr.Was born June 15, 1926 in Corwith, Iowa the son of the late James Leonard and Caroline (Greene) Money, went to be with the Lord onThursday, September 4, 2014 peacefully at his home surrounded by family. He was greeted at Heaven's Gates by his loving wife, Lois; brother, George and his wife, Lois; father, James and mother, Caroline. He is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie "Marge"; son: James A. Money Jr. and his son, Jacob (Amanda) Money and their children, Steven Michael and Jacob; step-children: Judi (Vrzal) Barnholdt and her children, Becki Carpenter, Scott (Louise) Barnholdt and Shane Rainbow; Robert (Sue) Vrzal and their children, Robert (Tricia) III and Sarah Vrzal; Jeffrey Vrzal and his daughter, Erin (Frank) Wessels; sister-in-laws, Betty Walters and Elda Heitbrink; along with 7 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of others who are wonderful friends in the Lord. James was a Veteran of the US Army proudly serving his country during WW II. He retired from the University of Nebraska as a maintenance instructor after many years of dedicated service. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at 3:00 PM to celebrate Jim's life and home going. Reverend David Cook will officiate. The Chemung County Veterans Honor Squad will accord Mr. Money with Military Honors. Interment will take place in the Elmwood Cemetery Caton, NY at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to CareFirst 11751 East Corning Road Corning, NY 14830 or to a charity of one's choice.
