Chilson-Purvis, children, Maureen Purvis, Chad Purvis, James Chilson-Purvis, Justin Chilson-Purvis, Donte Chilson-Purvis, Theresa E. Chilson-Purvis, and Joseph Chilson-Purvis. Mother Alice Purvis, brother and sisters, Russell (Nancy) Purvis, Marlene (1 Sg. Dan) Smith, and Wilma Redder; also several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his father Robert Purvis and his son, Jeremy Purvis. Jim was aArmy Vietnam Veteran. A member of the Living Word EFC Church, ofElmira, NY, He retired from Jeff’s Westside Auto Service, Elmira, NY. Anavid hunter, fisherman, and race car fan, but his priority was family.The family will receive friends at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport on Tuesday June 19, 2012 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PMwith Funeral and Committal Service there Tuesday at 4:00 PM, his pastor Rev. Brian Kain will celebrate Jim’s life. Interment will be held privately in Bath National Cemetery, Bath, NY with Military Honors accorded at the grave.
