Age 73 of 812 Broadway, Southport, passed away on Sunday, December 31st, 2006 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Jim was the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Feehan Sullivan. He was born here in Elmira, on the 12th day of June, 1933. Surviving him is his loving wife and friend of 47 years, Mary Kester Sullivan; daughter, Elizabeth J. Sullivan (Michael Dinkins) of Elmira; son, Patrick M. (Jeanette) Sullivan of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Barbara S. (Anthony) Cappucci of Elmira; daughter, Nancy A. German of Pine Valley; his grandchildren, whom he loved and adored, James Patrick, Erin, Ashlyn, Adam, Dominic, Kaitlyn, Jack, Samantha, and Garrison; several nieces and nephews including nephew Robert Sullivan of MA.In addition to his parents, Jim is predeceased by his brother, Phillip Sullivan. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY, Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and again from 7:00PM to 9:00PM.Funeral and committal services will be held at Olthofs on Thursday, January 4th, 2007 at 10:00AM. The Reverend Richard Farrell will officiate with full military honors accorded.Interment will take place at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park at the familys convenience. Jim was a communicant of St. Marys Church, Southside. He was proud to be retired from the United States NAVY after 21 years of protecting our freedom, and was a Vietnam veteran. After his retirement he worked and retired from the United Postal Service after 20 years.
