James "Jim" L. Taylor Jr., 52 of Elmira, NY passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September, 15th at home. Jim was born July 11, 1964 to James and Donna Taylor who survive him. Jim was predeceased by grandparents, Gerald and Virginia Taylor and Charles and Rosemary Zimmerman; aunt, Joyce Taylor; and best friend, Ronnie Walton. Jim is also survived by his loving companion of 29 years, Brenda "Bubby" Fluman Frey; children, Kimmie, Mikey (Adia) and Miranda (WaynO) Frey; sister, Kathy (Jeff) Witt; Aunt and Uncle, Jerry and Sandy Taylor; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; special niece, Jessica (Derek) Martin; great-nephew, Jack Martin; nephew, Michael Witt; a host of nieces and nephews; special friend, Rick (Cheryl) Bachert; and best girl, Sophie Joy. Jim was veteran of the US Navy; he worked on the USS Nimitz. Jim retired from Dimon and Bacorn after 17 years of service. He was an avid Bills and Phillies fan. He loved to fish and he loved to spend time with his family and friends and his girl, Sophie. We will miss Jim’s laughter and the love and compassion he showed others.
