Age 71, of Elmira, NY, entered into eternal rest on Friday October 31, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He is survived by, life partner, Marigene Ripley, sons, Robert J. "Robbie" (Kelly), Marc, Michael Bailey, daughter, Jaime Bailey, step son, Scott Ripley, grandchildren, Kirsten Heather, Roxanne, Stevie, Brewster, Mercedes, Maliki, Chloe, Bianca, Levi, Jeremiah and Amanda Great granddaughter, McKenzie, brothers, George (Shirley) and Kenneth Bailey, sister Florence Kennedy, many nieces, nephews friends and his faithful and loyal companion "Boof" . Predeceased by Parents, Russell and Eva (Eastwood) Bailey brother, Henry, sister Lucille Kent, Mary Rummings. Officer and member of the American Legion Post #443 for over 27 years, United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, United States Postal Service Letter Carrier. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Southport/Elmira on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Officers and members of the American Legion will conduct a service for Jim at 7:00 PM, followed by Military Honors at the Funeral Home.
