Jean H. Besanceney

Age 71, formerly of Elmira, NY died Saturday, June 7, 2003 at her sister?s home in Woodbridge, Virginia. Jean was preceded in death by her husband; Robert F. Besanceney, December 12, 2002, sister; Shirley H. Root, brothers; Robert C. Hartford and Clayton Hartford.Jean was born October 27, 1931 in Cayuta, NY the daughter of the late Edward and Oca Hartford.She is survived by her sons; Charles Isaac Towner, III of Danbury, CT, Michael Shane Towner of Westport, CT, Wesley Roy Towner of Vancleave, MS, Robert Eugene Towner of Millerton, PA and Lawrence Raymond Towner of Norwalk, CT, sisters and brothers; Beulah H. Green of Garden City, MO, Margaret H. Palomares of Woodbridge, VA, Helen H. Azzano of Woodbridge, VA, Fredrick Hartford of Stafford, VA, Kenneth Hartford of Denver, NC, Clara H. Ameigh of Des Moines, IA, and Cliff E. Hartford of Stafford, VA, nephews; Albert Root of Rock Stream, NY, Roger Root of Wellsville, NY, Bernard Root of Virginia Beach, VA, Kevin Root of Van Etten, NY, and Stanley Root of Muncy, PA, Stepson; Robert F. Besanceney, Jr. of Naples, FL and stepdaughter; Marilou Besanceney of Webster, NY, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law. Jean is a retiree from the Thatcher Glass Manufacturing Plant in Elmira, NY.She has been a long-standing member of AA.Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira on Friday, June 13, 2003 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.Funeral services there on Saturday at 2:00 PM with Reverend Howard L.
