Jean B. Mcdonald

Age 84 of Southport, NY; Jean passed away April 1st, 2007 in the Huntington Living Center of Waterloo, NY. She was born the daughter of the late John and Beatrice McMann Brague; July 22, 1922 in Nauvoo, PA. She is survived by her son, Gary A. (Eilleen) McDonald of Elmira; daughter, Barbara L. (Paul) Scaffidi of Check, VA; 5 grandsons, Kevin (Nancy) McDonald of Bay Point, CA, Jay (Lisa) Vaughan of MD, Kelly McDonald of New Field, NY, Chris (Kathy) Vaughan of Roanoke, VA, Anthony (McDonald) Caporiccio of Japan; 4 great grandchildren, Kylie, Katie, Alexa, Eamon Vaughan; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Carlene McDonald of Newfield, NY. Jean is predeceased by her beloved husband Clarence who passed away October 16th, 1978; sisters, Desailles, Sheila; brother, Raymond.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Wednesday, April 4th, 2007 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Funeral services will be conducted following the calling hours. The Reverend Donald Matthews will officiate. Graveside committal prayers will be offered following the funeral celebration at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira. Jean was a devoted grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was the time she shared with her grandchildren. She was a devoted member of Grace Episcopal Church of Elmira, past matron of the O.E. S. Harmony/Loyal Chapter #265 of Eastern Star. She worked for many years for Westinghouse Electric. Her memory will live through all who were fortunate to know her and she will be missed.
