Jeanne E. Carr

Age 86, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2009 at Elderwood Health Care at Tioga in Waverly, NY. Jeanne was born November 27, 1922 in Fassett, PA the daughter of William Anderson Jr. and Marion (Raymond) Richards. Her loving husband, John S. Carr, her beloved son, John R. Maynard Sr. and first grandson, John R. Maynard Jr, predeceased her. She is survived by her step-daughter, Joyce Bertozzi of Bethel, CT; grandson, Michael (Kim) Maynard (Corey, Mallorie, Bailey and "Nick") of Elmira, NY; granddaughters, Stacy Maynard (Sean) of Boston, MA; Kelly (Mark) Smith (Abigail, Ethan and Carter) of Elmira, NY; Carrie Maynard (Christopher, Anthony, Ashley, Matthew and Sydney) of Leola, PA; sister, Dorothy (Bill) Hough of Elmira, NY. Many loving and caring friends also survive Jeanne. Jeanne retired from Harding Brothers in Elmira Heights, NY where she performed electrical assembly. She loved shopping, making crafts and her monthly women's club dinners out with the girls. She was a member of the Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church in Pine City, NY. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Saturday, September 12, 2009 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a Memorial Service following the visitation at 1 PM. Lay Pastor, John P. Knapp will celebrate Jeanne's services. Interment will immediately follow at the Ashland Cemetery, Wellsburg, NY.
