Jeanne S. Gerard

Was born November 30, 1920 in Sayre PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving and caring family. Her survivors include: daughter, Barbara Gerard of Elmira, NY; son, James M. (Anne Stevenson) Gerard of Penn Yan, NY; daughter, Elizabeth (Liz) Gerard of Corning, NY; along with 5 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, John R. "Bobby" Gerard, daughter, Deborah Gerard White and parents, Adrian and Mable (Hurst) Samuels. Richard R. Gerard Jr. also survives her. Jeanne volunteered with the Arnot Ogden Medical Center over a 20-year span accumulating 11,000 hours. She retired from Newland and Associates as an Executive Assistant after several years of dedicated service. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. A Memorial Service honoring her life will follow the visitation at 6 PM. Family friend Father Richard Murphy will officiate. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation 550 Latona Road Building D Suite # 408 Rochester, NY 14626 in honor of her daughter Debbie.
