Jeanne M. Polidori

Jeanne Elizabeth (Matthews) Polidori Of Elmira, NY Age 80, of Herrick Street, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at home with her loving family by her side. She was born April 29, 1929 in Hornell, NY to the late Richard and Mary (Brown) Matthews. Jeanne is survived by her husband, Thomas Polidori; son, Timothy (Mary Ann) Polidori; daughter, Linda (Kevin) Dickinson; grandchildren, Giulia Dickinson, Mary Beth Polidori, Matthew Dickinson, Kelly Polidori, and Whitney Dickinson; niece, Kathleen Garwood. Her sister, Mary Hoey, predeceased her. Jeanne was a retired employee of the Elmira City School District, where she was an insurance coordinator. She was married to Thomas Polidori on October 2, 1954 and celebrated 54 years of wonderful marriage this past year. Jeanne was truly devoted to her family. Her children and grandchildren will remember her for all the love and guidance she gave them. Jeanne was the heart of the family and will be missed dearly. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 18th at 10:00 AM in St. Mary's Church 224 Franklin Street Elmira, NY. The Reverend Richard Farrell will celebrate Jeanne's Mass. Interment will follow in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery. Memorial donations in the name of Jeanne M. Polidori may be directed to Southern Tier Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
