Jeannette J. PendletonLoving mother and grandmother Age 83, of Dry Run Road, Pine City, NY passed away peacefully at St. Joseph Hospital surrounded by her family who loved her so much. Jeannette, also known as GG by her grandchildren, was born on June 5, 1924 she was the daughter of Joseph and Beatrice Ann Williams Wintle. Her husband Herman Pendleton (1974) and her sister Isabelle Spicer predecease her. Her loving survivors are daughters Bonnie and Samuel Ohart, Suzanne and Richard Norman, John and Carol Pendleton, Richard and Julie Pendleton and her special loving grandchildren Gregory and Julie Ohart, Jeffrey Ohart, Shannon and Marc Stemerman, Michael and Shannon Pendleton, Ryan and Rebecca Pendleton, Daniel and Tina Pendleton, Joseph and Tracey Norman. GG had 14 great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. Jeannette enjoyed the special times she spent with many caring friends especially the times she spent with her niece Barbara Ann Thompson and nephew Roy Spicer. Some of her special interest was crocheting, watching her favorite soap operas and in the summer time, being in the first car headed to the lake for the weekend.She worked for several years at the Chemung County License Bureau leaving there to care for her grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue Elmira, NY Thursday, February 21, 2008 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with a Celebration of her Life Service there Friday at 10:00 AM. Her friend and neighbor Deacon George Welch will officiate. She will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery next to her husband Herman Pendleton. The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Josephs Hospital Foundation 555 E. Market Street, Elmira, NY 14901. The Pendleton Family would like to thank Dr. Freeman and staff along with the Nursing Staff at St. Josephs Hospital for the excellent care she was given.
