Jeffrey W. Jones

Age 43, of Watkins Glen, formerly of Millerton, PA went to be with the angels very unexpectedly due to a motorcycle accident August 6, 2009.He is survived by his three sons Justin Jones of Millerton, PA, Tony Jones of Millerton, PA, Cody Jones of Watkins Glen, NY, and step daughter Katelynn Thomas of Cortland, NY, as well as his mother Joyce E. Jones of Millerton, PA, his father Orrin Gene Jones of Gillett, PA, brothers Dan (Kim) of Millerton, PA, Brian (Dolly) of Gillett, PA, Ken (Lori) of Elmira, NY, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and long time special friend Jodi. His grandparents preceded him in death. Jeff had many friends; he was a kind-hearted man who would help anyone in need.Jeff was a corrections officer with The New York State Department of Corrections with over 20 years of service, currently at Five Points Correctional Facility; he was looking forward to his retirement in five years. He was proud to serve his country in the Army Reserves. Jeff was an avid outdoorsman and loved riding four wheelers, camping, especially with Katina & Jeff Truesdale and spending time with his family and friends. The family will receive friends at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, on Tuesday August 11, 2009 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PMwith Funeral and Committal Service there Tuesday Evening at 8:00 PM. The Reverend Douglas Hodge will officiate. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. The family will provide their own flowers, and those wishing are asked to make donations to the Cody Jones Education Fund, C/OAnthony K.
