Joan M. Aumick

Age 60 of Pine City, NY passed away on Thursday March 25, 2010 at home surrounded by her family after a courageous two year battle with cancer. She was born on August 24, 1949 the daughter of the late George and Belva (Cummings) Lockner. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Chuck E. Aumick; sons, Greg (Lara) Aumick of Florida, Mark (Linda Knapp) Aumick of Pine City, NY, and Ric Aumick of Pine City, NY; grandchildren, Alex, Lacey, Austin and Tyler Aumick; sister Sue (Jack) Shappee of Indiana; nieces and nephews, Karen Childress of Indiana, David Shappee of Colorado, and Jack Shappee of Iowa; sisters in-law, Pidgie (Jim) Durand of Alaska, Joan (Tim) Kastner of Pine City, NY, Terry (Larry) Long of Florida, Becky (Tom Bement) Rodabaugh, of Millerton, PA, and Heather (Cliff) Rodabaugh of Pine City, NY, also several other nieces, nephews and first cousins. Joan was a graduate of Southside High School Class of 1967, also a member and past President of the Pine City Volunteer Fire Department. Her biggest enjoyment in life was raising her boys and attending their ball games as they grew up. Arrangements have been entrusted to Olthof Funeral Home, Inc.. At the request of Joan there will be no calling hours and a Private Funeral Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
