Joan M. Cooklin

Age 65, passed away very unexpectedly on Saturday, September 29, 2007, at her home. She was born October 2, 1941 in Elmira, NY the daughter of Walter and Rita (Tigue) Cook. Her mother, Rita predeceased her. She is survived by her beloved father, Walter; loving children, Christine (Mike) Terpstra, Suzanne Cooklin and Eric (Wendy) Woodyard; much loved grandchildren, Nicole (Javier) Medina, Justin (Jessica) Greene, Brandon Cooklin and Brittany Toffan; adored great grandchildren, Lilli Doty and Trevor Greene; loving and devoted aunt Mary Stone. Joan was a faithful communicant of St. Marys Church. She was an employee of Bethany Village was dedicated to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Horseheads American Legion Bentley Trumble Post. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, October 4, 2007 in St. Marys Church 224 Franklin Street Elmira, NY at 10:00 AM. The Reverend Jeff Tunnicliff will celebrate the Mass. Interment will follow in the Webb Mills Cemetery.
