Age 68, went to be with her Lord on August 25, 2005 after a lengthy illness, at Elcor Health Services.She was born November 22, 1936 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late Beatrice and William Smith and John Keehan.She was predeceased by grandmother, Florence Knight; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce & Cleatus Kensley; nieces, Ann & Barbara Smith.Joan is survived by her beloved son, Nicolas Ortega; brother, John & Margaret Keehan; sisters, Rose Lovett of Elmira and Deborah Keehan of Sodus, NY; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; special great niece, Kalie Lovett.She had many great friends throughout her life.Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira on Saturday, August 27, 2005 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.Interment at the convenience of the family.
