Joann "Josie" M. Seidel

JoAnn “Josie” M. Seidel, 77, of Elmira, NY passed away at home on Friday, March 3, 2017 surrounded by loved ones. She was predeceased by her parents, Festus and Violet Hovencamp; loving husband, Joseph Seidel; and her sister, Shirley McGinnis. Josie is survived by her sister, Beverly Anderson; brother, Richard Hovencamp, both of Elmira; many nieces, nephews and numerous friends. She was a graduate of Elmira High School. She also attended Corning Community College, Elmira College and Alfred University. Josie received her diploma in nursing at Arnot Ogden Medical Center where she went on to work for over 40 years. She was an avid Yankees fan and she loved spending time with her family and friends. Donations may be made to the Chemung County Humane Society & SPCA, 2435 Route 352, Elmira, NY 14903.
