Joel B. Baker

Was born May 2, 1949 in Elmira, the son of the late George and Rosalynd (Kelly) Baker passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Elcor Health Services at the age of 61. His beloved sister also predeceased him. He was a Veteran of the US Army and proudly served his country. Joel was a faithful attendant working at the Centertown Parking Garage for several years and made many life-long friendships while working there. A gathering of his numerous friends will take place on Monday, August 2, 2010 at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY from 3:00 to 4:00 PM. The Chemung County Veterans Honor Squad will accord Mr. Baker Military Honors following the visitation at 4 PM. Reverend Karen Boone will honor his life and celebrate his memory following the military presentation. Interment will take place in the Bath National Cemetery, Bath, NY where he will be laid to rest with his fellow comrades.
