John A. Turner

Age 80, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2004 at Chemung County Nursing Facility.He was born February 29, 1924 to the late John Alfred and Anna Katherine (Johnson) Turner in Middletown, CT.John is survived by his children; Robert Charles & Patty Lynn Turner of Horseheads, NY, Timothy John Turner of Lake Side, AZ, Debra Ann Turner of Horseheads, NY; two grandchildren, Zachary and Jesse Turner of White Plains, NY.He was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Turner, in 2003, and his nephew, Gregory Turner.John was a member of the Elks, and was employed at Corning Glass for over 35 years.He served in the Navy during WWII.Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira on Tuesday, November 9, 2004 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with funeral service immediately following (7:00 PM).
