Passed into eternal rest at home after a lengthy illness, Thursday, January 19, 2006. Jack was the husband of Linda Ann Fisk, with whom he was married for 40 years on January 22. He is also survived by his beloved children, John Russell Fisk and Brenda Sue and son-in-law, Chuck Knight; sister, Elizabeth Ross; nephew, Ronald Shuster; and a dearly loved granddaughter, Emily Ann Knight; as well as several cousins. Jack was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and grew up in the Lansdale/North Wales area and graduated from North Penn High School, where he was active on the football team and in the vocational technology program. He studied and apprenticed in machining and tool/die making. Jack was first-class in his trade and well respected in his field for knowledge and ability to problem-solve and make things happen. He was employed by Schweitzer Aircraft and Ward Foundries for over 35 years where his proven abilities earned him opportunities to work in various areas. He taught machining and mathematics courses at Ward Foundries and in Canton, Pennsylvania. Jack was a very loving, kind-hearted man with quick intelligence and a strong work ethic. He always believed in having fun and enjoyed humor. He was also known for his generosity and willingness to help neighbors and friends with their needs in his community and the West Jackson Baptist Church. Jack enjoyed many hobbies, including painting, photography, building model cars, trains, and railroad sets, wood burning art, and many other crafts in which he displayed a creative flair. He also enjoyed and was known for his keen knowledge of computers, for which he was called upon by many neighbors to help. In past years, he enjoyed vacationing with his family, fishing, bowling, golfing, car racing, and boating. He enjoyed the quiet, rural life and had many pets over the years, such as dogs, cats, birds, fish, and even raised farm animals. He is predeceased by his mother and father, Emma V. and Howard F. Fisk.Family and friends are invited to call Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Southport, New York, from 1-3 and 6-8 pm, with aMemorial Service immediately following.
