Age 87 of Pine City, NY, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2004 at Elcor Health Services, Horseheads, NY.He was born on December 17, 1916 in Walton, PA, the son of the late Joseph P. and Lula M. (Parsons) Collins. John is survived by his children; Ronald (Carol) Collins of Wellsburg, NY; Frederick (Sherry) Collins of Pine City, NY; Loueva (John) Kohena of Hector, NY; grandchildren, Pamela Sproule, Ronald Collins Jr., Frederick J. Collins II, Jennifer Spicer, and Christopher Spicer; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Anna Black of Corning, NY; brother, Thomas Collins of Millport, NY; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Marguerite (Johnson) Collins on January 23, 1980.John was a member of the Elmira Elks Club, The White Eagles Club, The Loyal Order of Moose of Elmira, and Ancient Order of Hibernians.He retired from the American Bridge Works with over 30 years of service and proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII.
