Commz.1944 - 2010"Big Daddy"&Proud PapaJohn passed away at the Bath VA Medical Center Skilled Nursing Facility on Saturday, October 2, 2010 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by, son, Trevor A. Fritz of Jacksonville, FL; son, Ian M. Fritz of Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Kaire A. Fritz-Lauzon of Elmira, NY. He has also left behind, nine grandchildren, all of whom he loved and took great pride in. He was a strong and stubborn man, but he was also a caring, loving and devoted father and grandfather. He was also a good friend to so many. He will be greatly missed by all who have been so lucky enough to have been a part of his life here on this earth. His legacy will forever live on in our hearts. You may have lost the battle Daddy, but you have fought the good fight and won the war! You've earned your wings now...Fly free! Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 in the Woodlawn National Cemetery 1826 Davis Street Elmira, NY at 2:00 PM. Cliff Havens will officiate and the Chemung County Veterans Honor Squad will accord Mr. Fritz Military Honors.
