John J. Romas

Age 72 of Millerton, PA passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2003 unexpectedly at home. He was born October 22, 1930 in Buffalo, NY the son of the late John A. and Oueril Romas. John is survived by his nieces and nephews, Charles (Nancy) Mitchell of Panama City Beach, FL; Susie (Douglas) Manning of Youngstown, FL; Candy Veneiza of St. Petersburg, FL; William Mitchell of Brick, NJ; Jeff Mitchell of Point Pleasant, NJ; Andrew Mitchell of California; along with 8 great nieces and nephews and 3 great great nieces and nephews. John enjoyed working on model cars and was an avid die cast collector. He retired from Kennedy Valve in 1967 after 25 years of dedicated service. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force proudly serving his country from 1951-1955 during the Korean Conflict. Family and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY 14904 on Thursday, April 24, 2003 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery where full Military Honors will be accorded to Mr. Romas by the Chemung County Veterans Honor Squad.
